Info Panel and Stitch Statistics

Interpret design measurements, stitch totals, travel, colors, and finishing diagnostics.

Measure the current calculation

The Info tab explains the current design and stitch calculation. It reports width and height, hoop and margin, colors, stitch count, underlay, color changes, and quality diagnostics.

Understand travel

  • Object-to-object travels connect separate objects; color-change travels occur around thread changes.
  • Internal travels connect areas within generated object stitching.
  • Total travel distance adds travel movement; Longest travel identifies the largest single move.

Finishing totals

Base stitches are the calculated design before finishing. Tie-in and tie-off counts contribute finishing stitches. The total combines base and finishing output, which explains why an exported decoded total can exceed a base-only preview count.

  1. Recalculate after editing.
  2. Compare width/height and totals with the prior version.
  3. Use travel and quality diagnostics to locate why a design became heavier or less efficient.
  4. Confirm the same expected totals in export validation.
